Wax removal from your ear can by done using an ear irrigation method. If this is not suitable then a microscope with microsuction may be used. Microsuction relies on a vacuum movement to remove ear wax and is one of the cleanest, simplest and safest ways to remove ear wax build up and clear blockages in the ear canal.
Prior to ear wax removal please use a wax softening agent e.g. Ear Clear. Insert 2 drops, 1-2 times per day for a minimum of 7 days prior to your procedure. When putting in drops lie on the unaffected side if possible while ear clear is inserted using a dropper. Remain on your side for 5 minutes afterwards.
Patient gaps for ear syringing will apply.
